mountReplyComposer initializes the editor with “Ready to send”. This test supplies body_html_sanitized but never loads it into that editor. The assertion can pass when the outgoing email contains no quoted thread at all. Seed the editor with the reloaded body, then assert that “Earlier” appears exactly once in the sent body.
