We work off of labels on issues to plan work for releases.
Community Labels:
good first issue: Good for newcomers and developers looking to contribute
up for grabs: Implementation from community can be started
General Labels:
proposal: Proposed new feature or enhancement for the library. No work should be done until approved by the team.
bug: Submitted problem that needs to be validated.
needs specifications: This is an approved proposal and needs specifications for APIs and thought before implementation should begin.
ready to implement: All stakeholders have validated the specifications are ready, added to project, and ready for implementation. Will be marked as "up for grabs" if it is community
in progress: Added only when work has started on a feature or enhancement that has specifications and was marked as ready to implement
DO-NOT-MERGE: Reserved for a PR that is a Work in Progress. Don't merge this, but discussion can start.
awaiting review: Reserved for a PR that is ready for a full review
