One day, I built 3 Interstellar Radar Scanners, and the cost was increasing with each, up to over 50B Metal. Then, I clicked the manual "save" button and closed the game. When I returned to it the next day, I still had 3 IRS's but the cost was back down to the original (38B Metal).
The costs returned to what they should be after 1 more purchase, but that one actually only cost 38B.
