Emergency Info Card

How it works

The page is two files:

  • index.html — the app shell (never needs editing)
  • emergency-data.json — your personal data (the only file you edit, never committed)

On load, the HTML fetches the JSON and renders everything client-side. To update your info, edit the JSON and redeploy — the live page updates automatically via Cloudflare Pages.

Quick start

  1. Fork this repository
  2. Copy emergency-data.example.json → emergency-data.json and fill in your information
  3. Deploy to Cloudflare Pages (see below) — upload emergency-data.json as part of the deploy, not via git
  4. Program your NFC chip with the deployed URL

Note: emergency-data.json is listed in .gitignore and will never be committed. Keep your real data out of version control.

Deploy to Cloudflare Pages

  1. Push your fork to GitHub
  2. Go to Cloudflare Pages → Create a project → Connect to Git
  3. Authorize GitHub and select this repository
  4. Build settings:
    • Build command: (leave empty)
    • Build output directory: /
  5. Click Save and Deploy
  6. After the first deploy, upload your emergency-data.json directly via the Cloudflare Pages dashboard (Assets tab) or include it in a deploy via the Cloudflare CLI (wrangler pages deploy)

Your page goes live at https://your-project.pages.dev/.

Any git push to main triggers an automatic redeploy of the code — usually live within 30 seconds. Re-upload emergency-data.json whenever your personal info changes.

Custom domain (optional)

In Cloudflare Pages → your project → Custom domains, add your own domain.

NFC chip setup

Program the chip with the full URL to your deployed page:

https://your-project.pages.dev/
