The installation guides currently contain recipes that cannot install the published binaries:
docs/docs/getting-started/installation.md advertises redisctl-aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.xz; the URL returns HTTP 404. This target is not in the published redisctl-v0.12.1 release.
docs/docs/mcp/getting-started.md uses repository-wide releases/latest/download/redisctl-mcp-installer.sh and .ps1; both return HTTP 404. The latest release is redisctl-v0.12.1 (CLI only); MCP installers are in redisctl-mcp-v0.12.1.
- The CLI archive recipes extract with
tar xJ, then move redisctl from the current directory. The checksum-verified Apple ARM64 archive actually contains redisctl-aarch64-apple-darwin/redisctl, so the documented move fails.
- The version example still says 0.11.1.
Bounded acceptance criteria
- CLI and MCP examples select their own application's published release, not an ambiguous workspace-wide latest tag.
- Archive extraction/install steps match the verified artifact layout.
- Linux ARM64 documentation does not promise an unavailable native archive; source/Docker alternatives are explicit.
- Version verification is consistent with the example release.
- Validate all documented release asset URLs against the published release, run a disposable host-native archive/version smoke check, and build/lint the changed docs.
Documentation only: no release, publishing, supported-target changes, installer execution, onboarding/credential policy changes, or database default cutover. This is one bounded contribution to the release-artifact evidence work; leaves #1087 open.
