Release jobs transferred independent artifacts in sequence and waited for distribution verification before starting the independent zipapp verification.
Upload completed artifact groups together and download the zipapp and SBOM assets together. Start zipapp verification after creating its output directory, then verify the distributions and their SBOMs in sequence. Wait for zipapp verification before creating environments from the verified artifacts. Preserve the build, publication and attestation dependencies.
Current CI has a separate blocker: ty reports two deprecated contextmanager return annotations in
src/virtualenv/util/lock.py. This PR changes the release workflow; those annotations and the type-check jobs are unchanged.Release wall-time improvement is unmeasured. PR CI does not execute the changed release workflow, so its timings cannot quantify the benefit of overlapping artifact transfers and zipapp verification.
