🟡 Medium issue/issueProjects.logic.ts:48
A URL naming a deduplicated worktree project resolves to options[0] instead of that repository’s representative, so _chat.issues.tsx loads the issue number against an unrelated project or fails to load it. issueProjectOptions drops the alternate projectId, leaving resolveIssueProject unable to match it; preserve the deduplicated IDs and resolve them before falling back.

After a page request fails, this button still calls issues.loadMore because hasMore remains true, but the cursor is already in pagination.cursors, so loadMore does nothing and users cannot retry pagination. Route clicks to issues.refresh when issues.error !== null.

A Forgejo repository with the same canonical key is matched here, so its issue link is intercepted and opened with tracker: "github"; GitHubIssueProvider.repositoryOf then rejects the repository and the issue never loads. Since this match checks only canonicalKey, also require the repository identity's provider to be GitHub.

ApprovabilityVerdict: Not approved Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — This PR introduces a substantial end-to-end Issues capability with new authenticated server APIs, GitHub integration, default capability exposure, routes, panels, and link interception. Adds an Issues page (sidebar, command palette) that lists a project's issues with search, state, assignee and label filters, and opens one to read its description, labels, assignees, state and comments, with Open in GitHub for everything else (pingdotgg#11067). In a thread, the panel's surface menu gains Issues (I): the thread project's issues beside the conversation, each selected issue opening as its own tab. GitHub issue links in chat and pull request descriptions open there too, including `pingdotgg#123` references that turn out to be issues rather than pull requests; outside a thread they open the Issues page. Issue trackers sit behind their own provider interface (apps/server/src/issue/IssueProvider.ts) rather than the source control driver, so a tracker that is not a git host can be added beside GitHub. GitHub reads through the existing GitHub API client, sharing its credentials, quota reserve and rate-limit pause with pull requests. Listings are cursor-paginated per page, cached on the server for 30s (identical reads coalesce, failures are not kept) and per page on the client. CWE: CWE-209 — Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information
Bound the GitHub provider detail before creating IssueProviderError.
gitHubProviderFailure normalizes only the reason. IssueService copies detail into IssueError, and the RPC and web formatter expose IssueError.message to the UI. Replace error.message with bounded text mapped from the normalized reason. Keep the raw error in cause. The IssueService and contract changes are not required for this disclosure fix.

Remove the export from ISSUE_PAGE_SIZE; it currently fails Knip in CI.
The Lint job fails because vp run knip:check reports ISSUE_PAGE_SIZE as an unused export. Only this module uses the constant. Make it module-private. The coding guidelines say: "Did you run knip? A new export with no importer fails it."

Wire issue browsing into the mobile client
The new shared issue atoms are consumed only by apps/web/src/state/issues.ts; I checked apps/mobile navigation and state and found no issue screen or consumer, while apps/mobile/src/features/pull-requests/pullRequestNavigation.test.ts still treats GitHub issue links as external. Consequently iOS and Android users cannot browse the issue list or detail at all even though this is a new client feature; wire these atoms into native navigation and link handling.

Distinguish PR lookup failures before opening an issue
When a #123 reference actually denotes a PR but readPreview returns Failure because GitHub is offline, unauthenticated, or rate-limited, PullRequestLinkPreview invokes this fallback just as it does for not-found. This callback now claims the original /issues/123 URL and opens an issue panel without verifying its type, so an actual PR is sent to a failing issue detail instead of falling back to its GitHub URL; only attempt the issue fallback after a confirmed PR-not-found/issue read.

Restrict issue-link matches to GitHub projects
For a checked-out Forgejo/Codeberg project, its normal /owner/repo/issues/12 URL passes parseGitHubIssueUrl, and this canonical-key-only comparison finds the project even though repositoryIdentity.provider is forgejo. useOpenIssueLink then prevents the ordinary link and opens a GitHub issue surface that the server rejects as unsupported, so require the matched identity to be a GitHub repository before intercepting the click.

Resolve issue markdown from the issue's project
When chat links to an issue in a different project on the same environment, useOpenIssueLink records that matched project's projectId on the surface, but this always supplies the active thread's worktree as cwd. PullRequestMarkdown resolves relative links and media against cwd, so those links open files from the wrong repository (or fail); look up the surface project's workspace and use the thread worktree only when the project IDs match.
Useful? React with 👍 / 👎.

Keep GitHub search queries under the API limit
GitHub issue search rejects query strings longer than 256 characters, but IssueListInput independently permits a 200-character label and a 200-character free-text query and these lines concatenate both with repository, state, assignee, and sort qualifiers. For example, an accepted 200-character query with assignee:me already exceeds the limit for a normal repository, so valid RPC inputs surface as a failed search; enforce an aggregate query budget or tighten the input bounds.

Retry the failed page when it is already in the cursor list.
When page two fails, AsyncResult.value excludes it from the merged pages. The merged cursor remains page one’s cursor, which is already in pagination.cursors. loadMore therefore returns without changing state.
IssueBrowser calls loadMore while hasMore is true, so the displayed “Load more issues” control cannot retry page two. The header refresh is a workaround, but it resets the list and discards the loaded-page state.
Expose a retry action that refreshes the failed page atom and use it when issues.error is present.

Expose a retry action from the issue state flow that refreshes the atom for the
failed page, and update IssueBrowser’s control to invoke it when issues.error is
present. Keep loadMore for normal pagination and refresh for the existing
full-list refresh behavior.

Problem
There is nowhere in T3 Code to read a project's issues. To find the issue a thread should work on, users leave the app for GitHub, and issue links in chat or in a pull request description open the browser.
Change
#123references that turn out to be issues rather than pull requests, which used to open GitHub. A link to a repository no project checks out stays an ordinary link; Cmd/Ctrl-click still opens the browser.Issue trackers sit behind their own provider interface (
apps/server/src/issue/IssueProvider.ts) rather than the source-control driver, so a tracker that isn't a git host can be added beside GitHub later. GitHub reads go through the existing GitHub API client, so issues share credentials, quota reserve and rate-limit pauses with pull requests. Listings are cursor-paginated; the server caches each read for 30s (identical reads coalesce, failures are not kept) and the client caches per page. New RPCs:issues.sources,issues.list,issues.detail, behind a newissuesenvironment capability.Scope and approval
Discussion #17977 (converted from #11067). Maintainer direction: #17977 (comment), which asks for a GitHub-first, paginated, cached, provider-aware
issuescapability with list/detail RPCs, an/issuesroute and a sidebar item, following the Pull Requests stack. This goes one step past that first slice: the thread Issues surface and in-app issue links reuse the same list and detail components, so a thread can show its issue without leaving it. Thread-from-issue and mobile are not included.
This is the smaller path the comment asks for, as an alternative to #6315 (and #18456, which builds on it). It takes no code from either.
A follow-up PR adds Linear behind the same interface without changing the GitHub code.
