Installation of extension module in case of NEST living in a read-only location #44

Description

@heplesser

NEST may be installed in a read-only location. In this case, the standard installation to the NEST-install location will not work, nor the corresponding lookup (see below). We need to discuss how to handle this case and document it.

NEST automatically finds the module if the module has been installed to the location provided by nest-config. Once you have done import nest in Python and loaded nest from <nest_install_path>/lib/pythonX.Y/site-packages, nest.Install('mymodule') will look for the module in <nest_install_path>/lib/nest. This is provided by ModuleManager.
