Looks like the package is not installed correctly. Why don't you try using a virtual environment to install this package?

# Indall virtualenv
sudo apt install python3-virtualenv

# Create new python3 virtual environment
cd pdfviewer/
virtualenv env -p python3

# Source virtual environment
source env/bin/activate

# Install pdfviewer package
pip install .

# Run main
python3 main.py
