HomeAssistant Doorbell Button Sensor

Parts used in this project:

  • ESP 8266 Module
  • Inductive Current Pickup
  • 5 x 1N4148 Diode or similar
  • 1 x 1N4007 Diode or similar
  • 1 x 4.7µF 15v Capacitor (value not super specific)
  • 2 x 27µF 50v Capacitor (value not super specific). Multiple holes provided for a variaty of lead spacing.
  • 1 x 0.1µF 15v Capacitor
  • 1 x 3.3v Zener Diode
  • 1 x 10kΩ Resistor (may need to be varied based on your specific doorbell transformer)
  • 1 x 82 Ω 1/2 watt resistor (used to drop the voltage for the 7805 regulator. Adjust as needed.)
  • 1 x 7805 Voltage Regulator
  • Optional

  • 1 x Generic LED (for power)
  • 1 x 330Ω Resistor (used as LED current limit. Adjust as desired).
