Deleting events as community admin wasn't working

Describe the bug
Jay Krishnamany from Boxborough demonstrated that he wasn't able to delete old events from the admin portal. We saw a red message box momentarily which went away fbefore we could read it.

I tried it later and saw a similar issue as a Cooler Concord admin. But today it seems to work so I am not sure what happened.
