Summary
Fixes #443.
The
flaxandxregoptional dependency groups inpyproject.tomlpreviously hardcodedjax[cuda], which breakspip install timesfm[flax]orpip install timesfm[xreg]on CPU-only machines (laptops, CI runners, CPU cloud instances) where NVIDIA CUDA drivers are unavailable. Furthermore,jax[cuda]without a version qualifier is deprecated upstream in favor ofjax[cuda12].This PR splits each into:
flaxandxregusing standardjax(defaults to CPU and works everywhere).flax-cudaandxreg-cudausingjax[cuda12].Changes
[project.optional-dependencies]:flax: switchesjax[cuda]->jaxflax-cuda: added withjax[cuda12]xreg: switchesjax[cuda]->jaxxreg-cuda: added withjax[cuda12]Verification
pyproject.tomlparses cleanly and extras are valid.flaxandxregwithout requiring CUDA drivers.
