ci: build, test and check-public on Linux and Windows
In plain words
Heronin gets its first automatic checks: every pull request and merge-queue entry builds the app, runs its tests, builds the web version and runs the public-repo guard, on Linux and Windows. A final job,
ci-ok, is green only when all of them are, so it can be the one required check. What changes
.github/workflows/ci.yml(new): matrix of ubuntu-latest and windows-latest; Zig 0.17.0 (the version fizzy pins); gateszig fmt --check build.zig tools tests/check_public,zig build, zig build test, zig build web,zig build check-public; jobci-okaggregates.What you will notice
Heronin PRs show a
ci-okcheck. Nothing is required yet: after this runs green once, the PM asks for a ruleset requiringci-okandpm-approval.How we know it works
This PR is stacked on heronin#2 (it needs
check-public): the checks run on this PR itself. How this serves fizzy
Heronin is a worked example of an app built on fizzy (docs/VISION.md#platform); the guard and the gates keep it publishable.
