Two approved follow-ups for the husk tail. (1) PubMed E-utilities for Cell/Elsevier PIIs (esearch→PMID→esummary, then OpenAlex for abstract/affiliations); reformats bare ScienceDirect PIIs to PubMed's punctuated form; extracts bare /pii/ ids. Verified e2e. (2) drop_nonpaper_husks removes content-less papers on non-paper hosts (github, supabase, HF spaces/docs) — real-paper husks kept. 87 tests pass.

Hard real papers (Cell/Elsevier PIIs whose publisher pages hard-403):
- _lookup_pubmed_pii: esearch by PII → PMID → esummary (title/authors/journal/
year/DOI), then OpenAlex (by DOI, else validated title) for abstract/
affiliations/citations. The documented-reliable path for PIIs.
- _format_pii_variants: reformat bare ScienceDirect PIIs (S2405471224003120)
to the punctuated form PubMed indexes (S2405-4712(24)00312-0).
- _extract_ids now captures bare /pii/S... PIIs. PubMed runs before the
(unreliable) Crossref PII query. Verified e2e: bare ScienceDirect PII →
  real title + authors.

Genuine non-papers (no theme value, per "is this worth projecting?"):
- drop_nonpaper_husks removes content-less papers (no title AND no abstract)
  on non-paper hosts (github.com, *.github.io, supabase, huggingface
spaces/docs). Real-paper husks (biorxiv, cell, …) are kept for enrichment.
