Allow extra icons to spill over to multiple columns

Icons are currently appended, and don't follow the # of columns configured for a particular viewer.

Best case would be to follow what the user configures on that viewer by somehow incorporating them into the viewer itself.
More likely would be having to take over the logic myself.
