Tinkerers’ Lab at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar is a student-run innovation and fabrication facility designed to foster a culture of hands-on experimentation, creativity, and problem solving. Open 24×7 and managed entirely by students, it provides an interdisciplinary space where learners can translate theoretical concepts into real engineering products, work on hobby and course projects, and even carry out electrical or mechanical repair tasks using advanced tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, PCB milling machines, and electronics workstations. The lab encourages self-dependency, self-sufficiency, and experiential learning, making it a central hub for technical exploration and skills development on campus.
