The assigned Figma investigation found an already working authenticated connection in the subscription-backed Codex worker. This guide records that route, reproducible setup, the distinction between hosted plugins and direct MCP clients, token ownership, supported operations, and the prerequisites for a separate Von backend integration.
A live Figma
whoamicall succeeded for the expected account. No credential transfer or runtime change is needed for that narrow result. File reads/writes, fresh OAuth consent, refresh and multi-user isolation were not tested; no Figma file was supplied. Figma's documented client-registration restriction and the absence of an established Von credential binding prevent claiming a native backend implementation.Validation: official Figma/OpenAI documentation checked; installed CLI command syntax inspected; local documentation links, index routing, TOML example and code fences checked with PDM Python; diff whitespace check passed. No deployment requested.
