What changed

  • add Alpha15 Cordis plugin index parsing with pinned wheel verification;
  • add list, show, installed, install, config, enable, disable, and remove CLI operations;
  • install into the current uv tool interpreter and persist activation/provenance locally;
  • keep plugin management local to the CLI; adapters and QQ commands are not involved.

Validation

  • uv run pytest --cov --cov-report=term-missing
  • uv run ruff check src tests scripts packages
  • uv run mypy
  • uv run pip-audit --local --progress-spinner off --vulnerability-service osv
  • Alpha15 release/install verifiers and optional plugin lifecycle verifier with a real temporary Cordis wheel

The public index is intentionally empty until an Alpha15-compatible PyPI/distribution entry point is published.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Added CLI tools to discover, install, enable, disable, configure, and remove Cordis plugins.
    • Added verified plugin installation using wheel integrity checks.
    • Preserved plugin configuration when disabling and restoring plugins.
    • Added support for local plugin state and provenance tracking.
  • Documentation

    • Documented plugin management commands, configuration, lifecycle, compatibility, and installation limitations.
    • Added guidance for validating plugin workflows in smoke tests.
  • Tests

    • Added coverage for installation, activation, configuration persistence, dependency protection, and removal.

Review Change Stack

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The change adds a host-managed Cordis plugin system. It validates indexed metadata, verifies and installs wheels, manages activation and configuration, exposes CLI commands, tests lifecycle behavior, and documents the workflow.

Changes

Cordis plugin management

Layer / File(s) Summary
Plugin metadata and state contracts
src/liteyukibot/plugin_manager.py
Defines validated plugin artifacts, facets, bundles, indexes, installed-plugin records, and atomic persisted state.
Verified installation and activation lifecycle
src/liteyukibot/plugin_manager.py, tests/test_plugin_manager.py
Fetches compatible metadata and wheels, verifies artifacts, installs through uv, updates Cordis state, preserves configuration, protects dependencies, and removes distributions.
Plugin CLI command surface
src/liteyukibot/cli.py, tests/test_plugin_manager.py
Adds plugin discovery, installation, activation, removal, and configuration commands with text and JSON output.
Lifecycle smoke coverage and documentation
scripts/run_tool_install_smoke.py, scripts/README.md, README.md, docs/architecture/cordis-plugin-v1.md, docs/architecture/v7.md, docs/configuration.md, packages/cordis/README.md
Extends the tool-install smoke test and documents indexed plugin management, verification, workspace state, and adapter boundaries.

Estimated code review effort: 4 (Complex) | ~45 minutes

Merge Risk: 🟠 High · up to 50a83

The PR adds local installation and startup activation of third-party plugins. Existing packages can bypass the pinned artifact verification, and updates or failed lifecycle operations can leave stale plugins enabled or installed without matching records, creating a high-impact merge-readiness risk that should be fixed before merging.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Report the --no-enable state accurately.

When an installed plugin is already enabled, PluginManager.install(..., enable=False) preserves its enabled state. Line 221 still reports disabled, and the documentation says the plugin becomes inactive.

  • src/liteyukibot/cli.py#L221-L221: Render the returned record.enabled state instead of deriving output only from args.no_enable.
  • docs/configuration.md#L98-L98: State that --no-enable prevents activation for a new install. Direct users to plugin disable to deactivate an existing plugin.

🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Discard the saved config snapshot after enable restores it.

enable restores record.config into [cordis.config] through _activate, but keeps the same snapshot on the record. While the bundle is enabled, set_config and clear_config update only the workspace TOML, so the snapshot becomes stale. Any later _activate call re-inserts the stale table with config.setdefault.

Reproduction: install with activation, disable, enable, clear_config, then install a second bundle. The cleared [cordis.config] table for the first bundle reappears.

Clear the snapshot once the workspace owns the values.

🛠️ Proposed fix
-        updated = replace(record, enabled=True)
+        updated = replace(record, enabled=True, config={})
         records[bundle_id] = updated
         self._activate(record.entry_points, records)

_activate receives records before the snapshot is cleared, so pass the pre-clear record for restoration:

-        updated = replace(record, enabled=True)
-        records[bundle_id] = updated
-        self._activate(record.entry_points, records)
+        records[bundle_id] = replace(record, enabled=True)
+        self._activate(record.entry_points, records)
+        updated = replace(record, enabled=True, config={})
+        records[bundle_id] = updated

Apply the same rule in install: for an already-enabled record, do not carry old.config forward once the workspace holds the values.

Derive the facet Python constraint from the running interpreter.

PluginBundle.facet_for_current_platform() requires the current major/minor version to match the non-empty pythons list. Because pyproject.toml declares requires-python = ">=3.14", tests using _manager() can fail on supported interpreters such as Python 3.15. Build this value from sys.version_info.
