# Feature: Application updater banner and pulse (#4669) ## Summary The update manifest can optionally show a coloured or gradient banner (text and/or image) on the prompt and notes windows, and an optional pulsing form border on the prompt, notes, and progress windows. ## Related issues - Closes #4669 (follow-on UI presentation) ## Type of change - [x] Feature / enhancement (`Implemented`) ## Changes - Nested `banner` and `pulse` objects on packages (feed-root defaults when omitted). - Prompt and notes host a top banner strip; progress and prompt/notes apply `PulsingBorderValues`. - Update Manifest Editor and TestForm demo fields for the new keys. ## Affected packages & target frameworks - Packages: `Krypton.Toolkit.Utilities` - TFMs verified: `net472` ## Validation - TestForm demo: `ApplicationUpdaterDemo` (Banner and pulse on 9.9.9). - Manual steps: 1. Check **Banner and pulse on 9.9.9**, run Check now. 2. In future can you also include the Demo form pictures in Light and Dark variants?
Route updater domain exceptions through a local cold-path helper, use ThrowHelper for BCL exceptions, and simplify equivalent conditions with pattern matching. Parse 8-digit manifest colors as unsigned ARGB and clarify light/dark screenshot guidance.
