关于 ANE（Apple Neural Engine）性能指标口径的讨论 / Discussion on ANE (Apple Neural Engine) metric semantics.

我最近在调整这个项目里性能页面的 ANE / NPU 指标展示，希望它更接近真实硬件状态，而不是单纯的启发式曲线。

I’ve been refining the ANE / NPU metrics shown on the Performance page in this project, with the goal of making them closer to real hardware behavior rather than just heuristic activity graphs.

目前页面主要展示 4 组指标：

• 功耗 Power
• 活跃度 Activity
• 数据搬运 Data movement
• 共享内存 Memory

The page currently focuses on four metrics:

• Power
• Activity
• Data movement
• Memory

当前我的理解是：

• Power 更接近实时功耗
• Activity 更接近采样窗口内的活跃时间占比，而不一定等同于“官方利用率”
• Data movement 更接近 ANE 相关的数据搬运压力
• Memory 更接近相关共享内存占用

My current interpretation is:

• Power is the closest to real-time power usage
• Activity is closer to active time within the sampling window, not necessarily an official “utilization” value
• Data movement reflects ANE-related transfer pressure
• Memory reflects related shared memory usage

我想请教几个问题：

• Activity 这种口径，是否比 Utilization 更合适？
• 对 ANE 来说，什么样的指标更适合做实时性能页面展示？
• Data movement 和 neural footprint 这类指标，是否适合作为辅助图形？

A few questions I’d like to ask:

• Is Activity a better label than Utilization for this kind of metric?
• For ANE, what kind of signal is most suitable for a real-time performance page?
• Are metrics like Data movement and neural footprint reasonable as secondary visual indicators?
