Slow first-time WorkBuddy installs appeared stuck because the handoff launcher hid curl progress while the 4-minute download limit repeatedly restarted the 50 MB Node runtime download. Installer 1.0.2 streams progress and retry errors, allows 30 minutes per download, and retains a 60-second low-speed timeout and checksum validation.
The installation guide now hands off the containing directory with “点击打开安装脚本目录” and instructs the user to double-click the command in Finder. It prefers the host’s native folder action and documents the fallback because a Markdown link alone cannot guarantee Finder dispatch.
Validation: 11 isolated launcher/download tests pass, including observing progress before simulated download completion; shell syntax and git diff checks pass. New ZIP payload digest and executable permissions verified. Real user download diagnosed read-only; full cold install and one-click Finder dispatch are not claimed as verified. Existing SDK audit failures are outside this installer change.
