WorkBuddy's default file policy can refuse direct plugin configuration writes. Add a downloadable installer ZIP so a short install request can prepare and verify the files, hand off to a user-confirmed Terminal step, and return to native MCP verification.
The launcher checks the bundled installer digest, refuses noninteractive/host-injected execution, waits for Return, and writes a separate receipt and log for each run. Successful configuration remains
hostLoaded=unverified. The ZIP installs the unchanged official plugin 0.3.1 through the pinned compatible installer; it does not overwrite existing plugin release assets.Update both root READMEs and INSTALL.md with the fixed installer-only release URL, checksum, manual fallback, and verification stages. Add isolated launcher checks on Linux and macOS CI.
Validation: eight isolated tests passed; bash syntax and git diff checks passed; ditto extraction preserves the executable bit. The user manually confirmed the real Terminal installer: its fresh receipt reports configuration_written and exitCode=0. Reopening WorkBuddy and directly calling its native MCP tool returned one connected, authorized emulator, confirmed in the actual tool-result log. This reused existing runtime caches; browser-quarantine handling and the new README short-prompt download preparation remain unverified. macOS/Linux handoff CI and macOS packaging passed; runtime tests passed (485), while the existing MCP SDK dependency audit still fails on GHSA-6qxp-vccf-f47h. This is an installer-only prerelease, not a signed/notarized app.
