Project Overview

CleanMiles is a mobile app that allows users to better educate themselves about their use of non-renewable resources such as fossil fuels, collectively we can protect the future of our planet and resources. With CleanMiles we hope to have a lasting impact on how users make decisions about their vehicles by referring them to use eco-friendly cars.

Features

• Logging In: Creating an account to save progress
• Responsive Design: Get to interact with buttons and sliders to learn more about the app
• Search and Filter: Type in a car manufacturer of your choice and get the top 10 most eco-friendly car

Frameworks

• Front End: React Native, HTML, CSS, TypeScript
• Back End: Node.js, TypeScript, AppWrite
• Database: MongoDB (NoSQL)

Run the app

1. Install dependencies

   npm install
   npx install-expo-modules@latest

2. Start the app

    npx expo start

3. The app won't work if you don't have your own .env.local file with your own EXPO_PUBLIC_APPWRITE_PROJECT_ID and EXPO_PUBLIC_APPWRITE_ENDPOINT

To run the app in Android or IOS, you need to download the EXPO app in the app store or the google play store and scan the qr code in the terminal after you start expo.
