Adds a runnable search-and-fetch example to the existing MCP demos. From
examples/components/mcp, run:uv run parallel_search.py "LangCrew MCP tools" --fetch-url https://github.com/01-ai/langcrewIt loads
web_searchandweb_fetchthrough LangCrew'sMCPToolAdapter, uses Streamable HTTP with a project User-Agent, and prints source URLs and excerpts as JSON. No Parallel API key or LLM is required; the anonymous endpoint has lower rate limits. Existing demos and framework defaults stay unchanged. The example dependencies now keep MCP SDK and FastMCP on their compatible major versions. An unconstrained install selected MCP SDK 2, which lacks
RequestContextrequired by the LangChain MCP adapter.Validation: ran the CLI against live search and fetch with an empty home directory and no API keys, verified useful results and the outgoing User-Agent on discovery and both tool calls, and checked Ruff lint and formatting.
