Erase Background

Is it possible to erase a background from a picture so only the main picture remains? I know that it needs to be saved as a PNG for it to save without a background. I just don't know how to do this in this App.

If you are asking does PD have a "erase background" command I'm afraid there isn't an automatic one. But you can of course use the various selections tools incl. the magic want to select an area (background) of a picture and then simply press delete.

Now your picture has transparent areas and you can save it as PNG with the correct Transparency settings.

Do check the "selection options" by click in the various settings available per selection tool so you can see which one serves you with the fastest results.

If you're on Windows 11 you could try the MS Paint 'erase background' feature, but that will use AI and I'm not sure if your picture is uploaded somewhere (in the background) for it to work.
