HidLaShowControllerSupport() never shows UI

Hi, maybe it's because I'm pretty stupid, but I've tried almost everything and I can't get the HidLaShowControllerSupport() function to show the ControllerSupport UI. I've tried changing the arg values manually, but it still doesn't work. Could someone give me some guidance? Thank you. Couple extra info. I'm on the latest firmware version (22.1.0 at the moment) so that could be part of the issue. Also, here is the template I've been using:

But what qualifies as "actually needed"?

Needed is when you current controller configuration is not supported or you need an specific amount of controllers. If you want the applet to always display, official games usually disconnect all your controllers before calling the applet.

Not sure if it helps but this was my hb script for testing the applet. With padConfigureInput(4, HidNpadStyleTag_NpadJoyDual | HidNpadStyleTag_NpadFullKey ); to configure the initial controllers. Besides that I don't see anything wrong with your code.

Ok, I tried this and got the same result, the UI doesn't show up. The error code printed is 0x5d59 (on both cases)

Also tried disconnecting the controllers before calling hidLaShowControllerSupport with hidDisconnectNpad(0). Same result
