Support

Avenkin, by Skunkworks NZ Ltd

Contact

Email g@skunkworks.kiwi for support questions.

Beta testers

If you're testing a pre-release build through Apple's TestFlight, send feedback from there: in the TestFlight app, choose Send Beta Feedback, or take a screenshot while using the app to send feedback. Crash reports also reach us through TestFlight.

Reporting a problem from the app

In the app, go to Settings → Diagnostics & Support → Report a Problem. You'll review exactly what's included before doing anything with it, then tap Email Report to send it straight to us. No account is needed, and you can add to it before you send. You can also copy or share the report instead.

The same screen has Export Diagnostics, which lets you preview every line of a diagnostics file before sharing it.

Diagnostics and support reports have different contents. A support report includes the conversation, day or job you select, AI turn records and, for a job, its activity log. Those may contain names, contact details, locations or other personal information. Keys and tokens are masked, but conversation content is intentionally included so the problem can be investigated. Review the report and share it only if you are comfortable sending its contents. See the privacy policy for details.

GitHub issues

If you have a GitHub account, you can file an issue directly: github.com/straff2002/OpenGlasses/issues.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is no Avenkin account or sign-up.

Do I need glasses?

No. Phone-based features and camera fallback let you use Avenkin without compatible smart glasses.

Which AI does it use?

You choose. Use a cloud AI provider, connect your own server, or run a compatible model on your iPhone.

How do I delete my data?

Most of what the app keeps lives on your iPhone, so you control it. Conversations, memories, faces, recordings, notes, places, documents and vaults can each be deleted from within the app, and you can set an automatic retention period for conversation history. Deleting the app removes its stored data; see the retention and deletion section of the privacy policy for the details, including Keychain items that can outlive an uninstall.

Does browser streaming send my video to Skunkworks NZ Ltd?

Browser streaming for Field Assist sends video to the relay server you configure. The app ships with no relay address, and streaming doesn't start until you enter one in Settings. Choose a relay you or your organisation operate and trust; its operator can receive the video, which is then available to the people who open your stream link.
