Hi everyone 👋

I'm Julien, Frontend Architect & Expert at Société Générale, where I am responsible for the frontend foundation used by development teams.

I've been coding since I was 12 years old. What started as curiosity quickly became a lifelong passion and eventually my career. Over the years, I've explored many technologies, from iOS development with Swift to large-scale Angular applications, before specializing in the React ecosystem and frontend architecture.

Today, I'm passionate about everything that improves people's lives, whether through better user experiences, developer tooling, automation, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or scalable frontend platforms. I strongly believe that building great software is not only about creating applications, but also about crafting the ecosystem around them.

Outside of work, I contribute to open source, write technical articles, and regularly share knowledge through internal conferences at Société Générale. Every year, you'll also find me at dotJS in Paris, learning, networking, and getting inspired by the JavaScript community.

Open Source Journey

My open-source journey began during Apple's WWDC19. Inspired by everything I had learned during the conference, I spent the evening creating my very first npm package, learning how to build Angular libraries, publish packages, and automate releases through CI/CD.

That first project became x-typing-text, my first npm package and one of my proudest achievements. It was also my introduction to Web Components and the beginning of my open-source adventure.

Since then, I've continued building and contributing to projects that solve real-world problems:

• x-typing-text — My first npm package and Web Component project.
• test-reporter — Contribution to one of the most widely used GitHub Actions for publishing test results.
• Tesla Sentinel Viewer — A React, Material UI, and Electron application that I'm actively improving and evolving.

Most of my open-source work starts the same way: I encounter a problem, build a solution for myself, and then share it if I think it could help others.

Whether it's frontend architecture, React tooling, GitHub Actions, CI/CD automation, or desktop applications, my goal remains the same: build useful things and share what I learn along the way.
