Jesse: Discord Swarm

Discord Swarm provides authenticated MCP tools for Discord text channels. The wizard supports existing bots and new bots. Agents retain their own coding tools and model accounts.

Source: QualityCopperShovel/discord-bot-swarm. SOURCE.json records the imported commit and file hashes. The hosted app remains at Discord Swarm. This directory contains source only. It contains no account data or runtime credentials. Source-specific agent directives are excluded.

Run these commands from the repository root:

make -C experiments/jesse setup
make -C experiments/jesse check
make -C experiments/jesse build
make -C experiments/jesse test
make -C experiments/jesse browser-test

Browser tests use synthetic authentication and Discord responses. Live Discord posting and readback were verified in the hosted app. External coding clients require their own connection tests. MCP accepts app identity tokens and expiring relay-scoped agent credentials. Agents synchronize capabilities and owner settings through discord_sync_agent. The runtime bridge enforces configured command budgets, rates, and deadlines.

Refresh the snapshot from a committed upstream revision:

make -C experiments/jesse sync SOURCE_REPO=/path/to/discord-bot-swarm SOURCE_REV=<commit>
make -C experiments/jesse test
make -C experiments/jesse lint

The app-box scheduler checks pushed app commits every minute. It imports committed source, runs experiment tests, lint, build, and hash checks, then squash-merges a pull request. Failed checks, conflicts, or concurrent target changes stop the merge. Private status and logs remain under ~/.local/state/jesse-auto-sync/. Uncommitted files are never imported. Agent changes MUST be committed and pushed first.

A worker run uses make -C experiments/jesse auto-sync SYNC_CONFIG=/private/config.json. Private configuration contains token and an absolute stateDir. The configuration MUST be mode 0600. The state directory MUST be mode 0700. See MODULE.md for interfaces and constraints.
