Bug: Update broke program

Software was working perfectly before update. Update now makes the software hang, unable to open or switch between files without huge delays, program even lags to close. Using a very fast PC, with around 90% RAM and CPU available while software is freezing.

Windows 11 Pro 24H2. No, I seen you were tracking a bug with git items recently. These are just local files. Even with no files loading it hangs and freezes.

How may files are there in the project. Can you see if the issue is preset in the default project by going to file>start project> default project?

Also try downgrading to last released with https://github.com/phcode-dev/phoenix-desktop/releases/tag/prod-app-v3.10.0 and see if the issue goes away to be sure that its a regression we introduced with the latest release. Thanks for helping with the issue.

It does it all of the time. Default project included. The software just doesn't work right at all for me under any conditions. 3.10 works perfectly. I just installed it and it is back to working normally.

Hi just wanted to let you know that I am also experiencing this same issue. I never had problems with it before and then after the lastest update the app is not usable. It freezes every few seconds and even takes a substancial amount of time to close unless I quit it.

@devvaannsh @charlypa 2 reports in a day. I haven't been able to reproduce this but lets test this out in all machines we have windows.

@E-tin30 @NDEXT can you try debug - reload without extensions in latest build and see if the issue is still present with no installed extensions.

Hey @NDEXT and @E-tin30, I've tried a bunch of ways to reproduce the issue but haven't been able to catch it yet. That said, I’m keeping a close watch for any freezing issues. Thanks for flagging it and for your patience.

Ok thanks for all the help for now it seems that it only affects one of my projects and still works for the rest so its not that bad.

@E-tin30 I was investigating the issue and it looks like one of the files you are working with in the given project is the culprit. The file DogCare.html seems to cause large processor and memory spikes even without phcode, you could just open it google chrome directly to see the issue. So, as long as that file is open in live preview or any browser really, it will bring the system crashing.
