Macos Option-Arrow Keys behavior different from Apple documentation

Within this Apple support article (https://support.apple.com/en-us/102650), the keyboard shortcuts to move the insertion point between words within documents are Option-Left Arrow and Option-Right Arrow. Within Phoenix Code Version 3.10.0 (20241125.055842), Option-Arrow Key behavior is not consistent with the support article, and though it doesn't seem random, I cannot decipher what logic it is following for the current behavior.

Is there any way to make this behavior consistent with the default OS behavior?

Thanks for reporting this, we are aware of this issue from our internal testers and it will be fixed in the jan release. It is currently wired to navigate back and forward option as its the default in other platforms.

Option–Left Arrow: Move the insertion point to the beginning of the previous word.
Option–Right Arrow: Move the insertion point to the end of the next word.

The logic in mac appears to be consistent with the docs given as i investigated. but it appears that shift-option-arrow keys are assigned to collapse/expand which needs to be fixed. The difference between editors is how the symbols are handled when it appears between words and that behavior is chosen based on the language by phcode as its not in the spec.

Can you give some example text where it behaves differently and i could try to understand what needs to be done.

Ignore the above comment. I was able to figure out the issue. I had a debug build that had overridden the default shortcuts, so the issue was not in the test machine.
It appears that option-arrow keys are assigned to navigation. it will be reset to the original mac behavior.
