Hi,
I would like to submit an external InspIRCd4 module for review by the InspIRCd community:
The module is called
m_clientinfo. It collects client metadata provided viaMETADATA, performs browser/OS/device/bot/headless/proxy/datacenter/risk checks, and exposes the collected information to IRC operators with:By default it replies using raw numeric
999, configurable with:Important behaviour:
/WHOISoutput.Use case: some IRC networks using WebIRC or browser-based clients want IRC operators to inspect client metadata without overloading
/WHOISor changing standard WHOIS behaviour. A separate/CLIENTINFO <nick>command keeps this explicit and scriptable. The raw numeric response includes the target nick on every line so operator scripts, including mIRC scripts, can parse the target and apply local moderation policy.
I would appreciate feedback on whether this should remain an external third-party module, be linked somewhere, or be reshaped for a possible future PR.
Thanks for taking a look.
