Support for other shader languages (hlsl, slang)

I'm currently learning some graphics programming and noticed doom doesn't have any modules for languages like hlsl or slang.

I've found a few major modes floating around:

Additionally, i find it a bit weird and confusing that the glsl major modes are part of the cc module. Could maybe make sense moving them to their own module?

I agree. I'll look into putting together a :lang shaders (or similar) module later this month. I'll follow up once I create a roadmap issue for this.

i also noticed that there's a +unity flag for the csharp module that also adds support for hlsl shaders (via shader-mode). I think that would also need to be cleaned up and moved. Though i'm not sure how shader-mode compares to the other hlsl modes (the github page explicitly specifies that it's for unity shaders and i'm not sure if that implies that it has unity-specific features or not)

Also, because (at least to my understanding) most shaders usually use the same file extensions (.vert, .frag, .comp), i think there needs to be some way to set the default shader language per-project or per-file even if support for multiple shader languages is enabled. Maybe through dir-locals?

I'll probably drop shader-mode altogether for simplicity's sake. ShaderLab isn't a 1-to-1 HLSL replacement, but I'm not a fan of how rudimentary shader-mode is (and hasn't seen updates in years, so I doubt it'll see improvements).

As for choosing the shader language, a .dir-locals.el file is possible, but it'd be easier to use a mode line (no relation to Emacs' mode-line). E.g. // -*- hlsl -*- or // -*- slang -*- at the top of the file (essentially the mode name without the -mode suffix), or by using the correct file extension (only glsl-mode is directly associated with *.{vert,frag,comp}; slang-mode associates with *.slang and hlsl-mode with *.hlsl (and others: 1, 2, 3)).
