Is there a way to pin a cask version, as well as it's easy to pin formulae with brew pin $formula_name?

Looking at the pull request list, nobody has done this yet. You clearly want it, so I think you'd be the best person to work on this.

I was curious about this as well.

But in the "Why aren’t some apps included during brew upgrade?" section of brew/docs/FAQ.md, it mentions how many casks self-update so pinning a version could cause the pinned version number and actual version number fall out of sync. I'd recommend taking a look at the FAQ as it proposes two potential approaches to solve this and why they fall short.

That's not to say it's impossible so this may be a good opportunity to throw out some ideas.
