Custom container and view hierarchy

New floem user here - liking the concept, but:

Link to a simple custom container based application - as far as I can see it should work .
However, the labels do not render.
I'm missing something obvious, I know - can anyone tell me what ?
I think somehow the child is not ending up in the view hierarchy.

You need to actually set the children. The views should not own the child element but instead should be given to floem by doing parent_id.set_children([child])

is that not what happens in layout_node ?

Nope. That's just the layout node

kk, one final question ( I hope ) - how would you handle the setting of taffy styles inside the layout call ?
Without storing the children in the view, I can:
let node_id = recursively_layout_view(self.id, cx);
which will layout the now working tree, but this uses a default style.
