Configure retry for connection attempt

Is there any way in s3fs or one of the underlaying libraries that allows me to configure the amount of retries after a connection error?
I currently get socket.gaierror: [Errno -3] Temporary failure in name resolution so I would like s3fs to just try it again.

You should be able to pass arguments you would use for a botocore.Config object in config_kwargs ( https://docs.aws.amazon.com/botocore/latest/reference/config.html ). There are also retries configures on S3FileSystem as class attributes which you can change, but I don't think a fatal connection error would be seen as retriable.
