[Question] SAPIENT and Electronic Warfare capabilities

SAPIENT is an excellent protocol, but it is somewhat bare-bones when it comes to electronic warfare. It would be beneficial to add more details to the Signal object, such as modulation and bitrate. Standardizing commands and parameters would also be a significant improvement.

Are there any plans to introduce domain-specific messages and parameters to the protocol? Additionally, is it possible to contribute?

Suggestions for extending the 'Signal' fields and improvements to the commands/parameters should be relatively easy to implement in the next version of BSI Flex 335, and improvements to ES sensor support and CEMA integration are definitely on the agenda for the next version.

This won't happen because of JICD 4.2 (A Five Eyes XML standard for RF metadata) which was briefed 7 years ago but has been tightly controlled by little men who do not understand the difference between information standards and information.

Might I suggest you look into a published US DoD XML standard for RF metadata called SSRF which is compatible with multiple spectrum management systems:
