Automatically halt execution at diverging stack frames

Hi,
Automatically halt execution at diverging stack frames has been mentioned at EuroLLVM 2025 as future work (EuroLLVM 2025 presentation -- slide 14). I'm curious what is the current state of that feature? Is anyone working on that?

It is not yet part of the public release, but it is on our roadmap. If you are interested, I would be happy to keep you in the loop.

Meanwhile I am curious to hear your thoughts on use cases and expectations.

I regularly work on debugging regressions in a MLIR passes. Seems like idd with halting on diverging stacks implemented would be a holy grail in my work.

Let me know if there are any possibilities of contributing, especially into features like diverging stack frames or diverging variable values.

Also, is there any (even very low) chances of making idd work when there are no debug symbols?
