.ledgerrc records default Ledger CLI options: external journal and price database paths, ISO-style dates, a Monday week start, date sorting, strict checking, and plain non-paged output. The financial journal and price database are not stored in this directory.
Ledger normally reads ~/.ledgerrc, but that path is absent on the audited
machine and no environment override was found. The tracked file is therefore
not proven to be live. Its two external data targets currently exist, but that
does not establish that this init file is the configuration in current use.
This is hand-maintained source configuration, not generated output. Review
external paths when moving the financial data, and verify the file with an
empty temporary journal and price database before allowing Ledger to read real
records. Once a consumer path is established, confirm ledger reports the
expected defaults. Journal paths and financial data are sensitive even though
the init file contains no authentication credentials.
