This directory contains live personal Aspell data for English and Spanish:
| Language | Accepted words | Replacements |
|---|---|---|
| English | .aspell.en.pws | .aspell.en.prepl |
| Spanish | .aspell.es.pws | .aspell.es.prepl |
The .pws files are personal word lists. The .prepl files are personal
replacement lists, which map a recurring misspelling to its correction; both
replacement lists are currently empty.
Each matching ~/.aspell.* path is symlinked to the file here. Words learned or
replacements recorded through Aspell can therefore modify the repository files
directly. Manual edits must preserve the format header and keep its entry count
in sync with the body.
Both language pairs parse with Aspell. At the time of this audit, however, the Spanish word-list header reports 415 entries while its body contains none. That count is stale even though Aspell accepts the file. After changing either language, dump the personal dictionary with Aspell and check that the header matches the entries. Personal vocabulary can reveal names or specialized interests, but these files should never contain credentials.
